The victory leaves the young Blues one win away from qualifying for the UEFA Youth League Round of 16 with games against Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla still to come.
“I’m so pleased with the way the players performed,” said Barry-Murphy.
“It’s a testing place to come, but it looked as though it was going to be comfortable in the second-half, but they scored a goal and came back strongly.
“We knew it would be a different challenge form the one back home, so I was very pleased at the way we adapted.
“Our next game against Dortmund will be an extreme examination of how good we are, and we want to back up this performance.
“The lads showed courage and resilience and if we do that again in Germany, we have a chance of progressing.”
