City charged out the gates on a sunny afternoon in the Midlands.
Kylan Midwood fired City in front, after just three minutes, with a low-driven effort that flew kindly into the bottom left corner.
Christian Dunbar-McDonald made it two nine minutes later with his own fine finish, this time from the right, with City showing threat on both flanks.
MATCH REPORT | FOREST 0-4 CITY
It wasn’t until the 48th minute City would strike again. A well-worked corner saw the ball switch from one side to the other before Charlie Courtman teed up Teddie Lamb to head home from inside the six-yard box.
On the brink of full-time, Midwood added a fourth to see City’s relentless energy rewarded and confirm another vital victory in the race for the North title.
