The young keeper produced a string of outstanding saves in eastern Germany – especially in what was an inspired first half display.
And though Leipzig did eventually break City’s resistance midway through the second half, an Elias Lenz own goal 17 minutes from time, secured a deserved draw for Brian Barry-Murphy’s talented young side to leave us top of Group G on four points.
Reflecting on the game and his own display, Murray-Jones said he was just happy to do his job to help the team.

“I thought there were big saves and you have to keep your focus. It’s about keeping on it the whole game,” the keeper said.
“It was hard earned point. I thought they were good in the first half and they pressed hard but in the end a point is a point and we are away from home so we are happy with it.
“We are happy with four points from two games.”
