It was an afternoon of frustration for our EDS side, managed by Brian Barry-Murphy, as we dominated the play but couldn’t find the right result across the 90 minutes.
We eventually exited the competition via a 2-1 defeat, but the scoreline didn’t tell the full story in the Round of 16 encounter.
We were in the ascendancy for much of the competitive game but our start put us on the back foot early on.
Two first-half strikes from Roko Brajkovic and Mate Antunovic in the 24th and 33rd minute respectively gave us mountain to climb.

Oscar Bobb helped start the ascent when he the arrears on the stroke of half time.
The second half saw the sky blues laying siege to the Hadjuk goal but we couldn’t find that vital leveller to take the game to a penalty shoot-out.
