And we would get off to the perfect start when Josh Wilson-Esbrand finished from close range after Cole Palmer‘s shot was pushed into his path.
Things would get even better for City when Oscar Bobb pounced on a Brighton mistake and dinked past Fynn Talley to make it two before the break.
The visitors found a way back into the game when Evan Ferguson finished off James Furlong’s cross, but Palmer would restore our two-goal lead with a lovely curling finish just before the hour mark, securing a three crucial points at the Academy Stadium.
