Justin Oboavwoduo said his hat-trick capped a night to remember as he helped City storm to a decisive 5-0 FA Youth Cup fifth round win over Fleetwood.
The exciting winger was at his incisive best, opening the scoring with a fifth minute strike and then adding two more goals late on to complete his treble as Ben Wilkinson’s side booked a home quarter-final against either Oxford or Leeds.
With Matty Whittingham and Will Dickson also on target it made for a fine night’s work from the City youngsters
And for his part, Oboavwoduo said: “I’m more than happy. You don’t get hattricks all the time, so I was more than happy to get one today.
“In training we identified where the spaces were and I think with the runs I made we capitalised on that space and to seal it with a hat trick and an assist, it was a good day’s work!”
