Matty Warhurst hit a sublime first-half hat-trick to help us return to winning ways in the Premier League U18 North division and climb to second in the table.
The clinical frontman bagged a brace inside 10 minutes when he first tucked home Farid Alfa-Ruprecht‘s low cross before doubling his tally after Ashton Muir teed him up with a neat chip.
Stoke halved the deficit five minutes later, though, when Ali Hayder tapped into an empty net after an uncharacteristic error from Jack Wint allowed the young Potters man have the goal at his mercy.
However, we were able to restore our two-goal advantage before the interval when Warhurst secured his treble, racing into the box and drilling the ball into the back of the net.
