Will Dickson said Tuesday’s FA Youth Cup quarter-final win over Oxford had only sharpened City’s hunger for silverware as we approach the business end of the season.

The young striker bagged a brace of goals to help Ben Wilkinson’s side overcome a stubborn Oxford 3-0 at the Academy Stadium.

The goals also maintained his proud record of having scored in every round of the FA Youth Cup this term.

City’s reward is a semi-final trip to tackle Arsenal and Dickson said it’s a prospect he and his colleagues are already relishing.

“It doesn’t get much better than that!” said the 18-year-old.

“Obviously to get the two goals was great but the main thing was to get the win and go through to the next round.

“Playing Arsenal in the semi-final will be a great experience and it’s what we’re here for.

“It’s the business end of the season. We want to win trophies and we want to do well so to be in a place where we can compete for it is great.”
