Warhurst, on his first start back from injury, scored City’s second of the evening after a Christian McFarlane opener and Sverre Nypan penalty saw City complete the PL2 League Phase with nine wins and one draw on home soil.
It’s a key point in the campaign for the striker to return to Ben Wilkinson’s squad with potentially four games left to play for our EDS. And just like Monday night’s win, Warhurst will be looking to help his team as much as he can over the next few weeks.
MATCH REPORT | CITY 4-0 NORWICH
It was great [to be back]. My first big minutes, it was good to get a win and get back on the score sheet. Good to help the team,” said Warhurst when asked how it felt being back in blue.
And on looking ahead to the PL2 Play-Offs, Warhurst added: “We’re really looking forward to it.
“They are competitive games the next, could be four games.
“So we’re going to prepare right and attack them.”
