The Blues came from behind to beat Blackburn Rovers at the Joie Stadium on Friday night, with Ryan McAidoo, Teddie Lamb, Reigan Heskey and Oliver Tevenan grabbing the goals in a 4-1 win.
It takes us to a third straight appearance in the showpiece, where we will play either Manchester United or Crystal Palace on home soil.
After lifting the trophy in 2024 and finishing runners up last term, Reiss said everyone at the Club is keen to go all the way again this time around.
“I really wanted to get to this final again and the players also,” he began.
“There are a few in this team who got to the final last year and they really wanted to do it again. They did it and we’re all so happy.
“We just have one more step to go and the lads are highly motivated to do this already.
“We are there and it will be another challenge and experience for us. Of course, when you are there you want to win the title.”
City have reached the final the hard way, seeing off Fulham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton before this last four meeting with Blackburn.
We then went into the semi-final as favourites having enjoyed comprehensive victories home and away against tonight’s opponents in the Under-18 Premier League North.
However, Reiss was keen to point out that league form meant little once this game kicked off.
“This gives me proof that this competition is very special. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in the Premier League in terms of position in the table,” he said.
“It’s always tough and challenging and this was the case today, especially for the first half.
“We were not at our best in the first half but very proud that we were able to get better in the second.
“We were able to control the game a little better and create chances as a team.”
