Under-18s Lead Coach Oliver Reiss says he is looking forward to the challenges that him and his team will face in 2025.

Our final game of 2024 saw us triumph 4-1 over Stoke City to stay second in the Under-18 Premier League North.

Also having enjoyed success in the Under-18 Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup, Reiss and his young boys in blue have a lot to relish in 2025 and the Lead Coach is excited about what’s to come.

But the first challenge, he admitted, will be finding the balance of enjoying a brief Christmas break and being match-ready for our first game back in the new year.

“The players have to use the break also in terms of coming down a little bit, breathing a little bit and so on,” said Reiss.

“We need this of course but then it’s a very early start next year in the second weekend in January.

“So yes I think tough to start back good again after the break. We will only have a week and a half to get prepared for the first game.

“But that’s the challenge for us, to come back in the same shape that we finished this year.”
