Watch as City Under-18s defender Kaden Braithwaite takes a trip down memory lane and looks back on his senior debut.

Today, Wednesday 24 September, marks one year since Braithwaite became the third youngest debutant in the Club’s history.

The versatile defender started in City’s 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Watford at the Etihad on what was an unforgettable evening for the then 16-year-old and his family.

Braithwaite joined City at Under-9s level, and his dream has always been to feature for Pep Guardiola’s team.

And 12 months ago, that became a reality for Braithwaite in a career highlight for the aspiring defender.

To mark the occasion, the Under-18s captain joined City Studios in the Academy auditorium and was surprised with some footage from his senior debut.

He spoke about the moment he found out he was in Guardiola’s starting 11 to when he left the pitch with Guardiola hugging the defender after an impressive performance.
