City Under-18s striker Teddie Lamb says progressing to the final of the prestigious FA Youth Cup is a dream come true.

The 16-year-old scored City’s second of the evening after Ryan McAidoo’s strike cancelled out Blackburn’s opener through Valentin Joseph.

Goals from Reigan Heskey and Oliver Tevenan followed as City secured our place in a third successive FA Youth Cup final.

For Lamb, who joined City in January 2025, this season is his first taste of FA Youth Cup football with the Club and also his first final.

And it’s something not only he, but the whole team had their hearts set on achieving.

“It’s something that we dreamt of at the start of the season and now it’s become a reality,” said Lamb.

“We’re all happy. But it’s only the final and we’ve got one massive game left so let’s just push through it.”

The England youth international also provided insight into his third FA Youth Cup goal of the season which saw him tap home Floyd Samba’s rebound after the ball slipped out of Blackburn goalkeeper Harry Holt’s reach.

“I expected Floyd to cross it to be honest so I was just waiting on it,” began Lamb with a smile.

“But with those striker instincts I know that anything can happen and I got the luck of the bounce and did what I always do which is somehow get it in the goal. And I was buzzing afterwards.”
