Spike Brits says an overnight dream convinced him which way to dive as Real Madrid U19s were awarded a penalty.

Our EDS keeper saved a crucial spot-kick before the break, with City leading 1-0 in the final UEFA Youth League league phase clash.

Ben Wilkinson’s side went on to win 4-0 and secure a Round of 32 spot - and Brits believes our U19s will keep growing in this season’s tournament.

“It’s great to come here and win - they were top of the league - so it’s amazing to come here and win,” said Brits.

And as for his penalty save?

“I had a dream last night that the penalty would go that way and luckily, I went the right way and got a big hand to it,” he smiled.

“I was expecting to be really busy today ,but luckily for me, my team played so well I hardly had to make any saves.

“So far, we started well in the competition, had a bit of dip in the middle section, but our wins against Leverkusen and Madrid shows our quality and what we are capable of in this tournament.”
