Elite Development Squad winger Ryan McAidoo says he is constantly striving to improve and provide more for his team-mates.

The 17-year-old scored in between assisting City’s two other goals in our 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest on Friday night.

That takes his goal involvement tally to 18 in 23 appearances, including his first senior goal when he made his first-team debut during City’s 10-1 win over Exeter in the FA Cup.

It’s been a positive few weeks for the England youth international, but with his aspirations set high, he feels he can continue to bring more to any City team he represents.

“It was a great performance from the team,” began McAidoo.

“I’m happy to get three goal contributions but we played well as a team defensively. We knew what we were doing tactically and our technical ability did the talking as well.

“I want to do more. I feel like what I’m doing is not enough.

“I want to get to a point where the games are something that I come to and expect to score goals in a way.

“Not to be arrogant but to perform and always try to be the best on the pitch.”
