Whisker fired the Blues ahead on 27 minutes before securing a brace four minutes later with a carbon copy finish.
It marked the 18-year-old’s third goal in two cup games after he found the net against Brentford in our 5-2 victory earlier this month.
It’s fair to say the young Blue is more than taking everything in his stride so far in the competition and is determined to help City secure passage into the knockout stage of the competition for the first time since 2023.
“I see it as an opportunity to get more goals, play more football and enjoy myself, every time I step onto the pitch is another opportunity,” Whisker began.
“I feel like it’s another opportunity like I said and hopefully we go through and dominate because we want to win the whole thing.
“So it’s just another opportunity to show our quality and be at our best.”
