The talented Elite Development Squad goalkeeper made a big impact with City’s Academy across the 2023/24 campaign and was part of the side that lifted the 2024 FA Youth Cup.
To help gain an insight into what a daily routine looks like for the 18-year-old, City Studios followed True around the CFA prior to the last PL2 home game of the 2023/24 season to see the work a young footballer puts in to help further their career.
Starting by looking at his all-important pre-match breakfast selections, True then gives a glimpse into his pre-match routine and how he gets into game mode.
True also talks about how being involved with City’s first team squad for a number of matches last season also helped further his football knowledge and development and how it has also only further increased his desire to try and break into first team football.
We also see the routine True and his colleagues go through by way of pre and post-match duties on a typical game day.
Meanwhile, True takes time out to reveal how he decided to become a goalkeeper in the first place – and the key role his dad, Lee a former top goalkeeper himself who played for Manchester United during his career! – has played in his development and how he serves as his own inspiration.
