Manchester City’s charity, City in the Community (CITC), sat down with two of its new Esports participants to discuss their thoughts and experiences of the offering.

Rio and Issac, who both study on the Oldham College Esports course, sat down with FG whilst playing a game of Mario Kart.

The pair discussed their education and what they’ve found most impactful from studying with CITC and Oldham College.

Discussing the non-gaming side of the course, Rio said: “We learnt the background side of it [esports], that no one really speaks about. It’s how the teams work and what they do behind-the-scenes. There’s a lot of stuff that goes into it.

“You grow in education; you grow personally and it’s something you enjoy.”

After taking part in the game the pair also took on some Manchester City stars in a game of Mario Kart.
