Man City Women reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Wednesday night and they were helped on the way by a Toni Duggan wonder strike!
After Keira Walsh’s long range drive in the first leg, City went into the match in a commanding position.
Despite dominating much of the match in the Brondby Stadium, the Blues were still only one goal in the lead early in the second half.
Then stepped up Toni Duggan who turned and fired home a left-footed effort that none of the players or travelling fans are likely to forget in a hurry!
Brondby’s Nanna Christiansen equalised on the night for the Danes within the next few minutes but City saw out the tie to reach the quarter-finals.
