Fernandes wowed fans throughout the month as he helped Simon Davies’ side climb to the top of the Premier League 2 table.
The 18-year-old was selected by a Premier League panel after his four goals in the victories over Tottenham, Southampton and Liverpool ensured he was nominated by all three opposing managers.
Man City’s Spanish playmaker takes the accolade ahead of Norwich’s Todd Cantwell, Blackburn’s Connor Mahoney, West Ham’s Domingos Quina and Stoke’s Thibaud Verlinden.
