John Stones compared to Beyonce, a Sergio Aguero chant and why ex-Blue Alvaro Negredo could be a secret agent all feature in Dolph Ziggler and Becky Lynch’s commentary of City v Middlesbrough.

John Stones compared to Beyonce, a Sergio Aguero chant and why ex-Blue Alvaro Negredo could be a secret agent all feature in Dolph Ziggler and Becky Lynch’s commentary of City v Middlesbrough.

The WWE superstars joined CityTV to provide matchday analysis with a twist during the first half of the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Boro.

Currently touring the UK with the professional wrestling brand, Intercontinental champion Ziggler and Women’s champion Lynch stopped off at the Etihad to deliver a unique brand of commentary before defending their belts later that evening.

Aguero’s orange boots, which matched the colour of her hair, impressed the Dublin-born Lynch and the pair joined in the Etihad’s chanting after the Argentine opened the scoring just before half-time.

The standard of commentary was “through the roof”, according to Ziggler and both wrestlers had us laughing as they compared Stones’ defensive jockeying to Beyonce’s “booty shaking” and questioned whether former City striker Negredo could have turned double agent on his return to the Etihad.

We don’t expect to see them on Match of the Day any time soon, so don’t miss their alternative commentary efforts in the video above!
