David Silva: I loved how Laudrup played the game

David Silva has revealed his idol as he faced questions put to him by Manchester City fans.

In the latest Your Comments interview, our midfield maestro described Michael Laudrup as “a real example” of how to play the game. 

“I just loved how he played the game,” Silva says. “I was transfixed watching him play.” 

Fans also discovered how the affectionately named ‘El Mago’ finds working under Pep Guardiola – a man he says he’s learnt a lot from – as well as his favourite game in the Blue shirt.

He’s had no shortage of stellar moments, but there’s no doubt many supporters will agree that the 6-1 victory over Manchester United is one of his finest moments during his six year spell at the Club.
