With the transfer window now officially open, we’ve been remembering some of the best summer deals Manchester City have completed.
We’ve also been discussing the best debuts those players have had and even invited you to help us rank the top five.
As it stands, Sergio Aguero’s debut against Swansea has taken an early lead, so here are highlights of Kun’s first moments in a Blue shirt.
It really was a dream debut.
He opened his account with a tap-in at the backpost, before setting up David Silva with an ingenious flick from the byline.
His second was an unstoppable 30-yard pilediver that gave Michel Vorm no chance. The game finished 4-0 to City and Aguero was off to a flyer.
Afterwards, the press were comparing his performance to that of other great Premier League debuts by the likes of Alan Shearer, Jurgen Klinsmann and Fabrizio Ravanelli.
“I’m not surprised because I know him well,” former manager Roberto Mancini said after the game. “He’s a fantastic striker and I still don’t think he’s 100% yet because he has been training with us for only 10 days.
“He can improve but it was still important for him to score on his debut. He needs to do more training and he is still recovering from playing in the Copa América but I am really happy because they were important goals.”
