Manchester City Women may have won the double last season – but that hasn’t stopped them strengthening further in recent weeks.
The arrival of two-time FIFA World Player of the Year Carli Lloyd was an emphatic statement of their intent. Lloyd, only the second person in history to score a hattrick in a World Cup final, has joined the Club until the end of the Champions League and Spring Series campaign.
It’s a huge boost to a squad already thriving under the guidance of Nick Cushing.
And this week fans got to meet her, along with Izzy Chrstiansen, Lucy Bronze and Kosovare Asllani. It was a special day that the supporters who attended will never forget.
