Four special fans, four special players, one special prize…

Presented by Nissan, four lucky Man City Women supporters enjoyed a night to remember with their heroines.

As reward for their loyalty, the Seasoncard holders were the recipients of golden tickets, which invited them to the City Football Academy for a surprise.

A video featuring Steph Houghton, Jill Scott, Nikita Parris and Megan Campbell explained the Blues had won a trip to All Star Lanes where the Club would treat them to a night of bowling – but that wasn’t all.

The City stars then emerged from their hiding spot and revealed they would be accompanying!

It was Team Steph v Team Jill – and there were some impressive skills on show.

Captain Houghton reflected: “It’s been really good for us to be down here, mixing with the fans to thank them for their support.

“We always want to get to know fans better via social media but this gives us the opportunity to get to know them a bit extra and have some fun as well.

“We’ve really enjoyed it. We’re really relaxed – it’s nice to get away from the training ground and spend time with our fans.

“100% we’ll do it again. It’s important that we give something back to those fans who come out to support us at the Academy Stadium.”

Scott echoed: “It was a great surprise for the fans and it’s great we can involved them in a night like this.

“We really do appreciate their support throughout the season. We send messages on Twitter, etc. but it’s nice to do something in person, engaging with the fans, having good conversations and hopefully, beating them at bowling!

“Maybe we can make it a yearly thing – Team Jill v Team Steph in different sports!”

Seasoncard holder Andy Glanville was delighted with the surprise.

He commented: “It just shows they appreciate us. They go the extra mile for the fans and it keeps us going and keeps us interested.

“You get the recognition for your support and it makes it all worth it.”

Fan Lucy Heppenstall added: “When they do things like this, you realise you’re more than just a fan.”
