It was a landmark night for the Ivorian midfielder, as he completed the full 90 minutes and celebrated a triple century of games in the Blue shirt with a 2-1 victory over West Brom.
A calming influence in midfield – a quality he has offered so many times in his previous 299 matches – Yaya allowed the attacking trident of Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling ahead of him, to flourish.
And, as captain for the evening, the CityTV crew were on hand to follow his every pass, tackle and header as he completed a personal milestone.
