Nicolas Otamendi has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for December.
The centre-back was handed the award after fending off stiff competition from fellow team mates Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, who finished second and third respectively.
It’s unsurprising that the Argentine was crowned as December’s key man after he scored the winning goal during the Manchester derby away at Old Trafford and he also netted for the Blues from close range against West Ham.
Otamendi also started all seven Premier League games during December and his fine form at the heart of defence continued as the Blues conceded only three goals.
