It’s been a fantastic season for our Academy side, culminating in an FA Youth Cup Final showdown with Liverpool on Thursday 25th April.

Four goals without reply away to Clevedon Town kicked off our Youth Cup journey back in December, before Nottingham Forest were put to the sword in a convincing 4-1 home win in the next round.
Derby County offered a stern test in the Last 16 but the young Blues, down to ten men, mounted a brilliant second-half comeback to snatch a 2-1 win at Pride Park, ending the host’s nine-game winning streak in the process.
Two goals in each half of the quarter-final saw us progress at the expense of Bournemouth, winning 4-1 for the second time in the competition this season.
But we saved perhaps our best display of the tournament so far for the semi-final, overcoming West Brom 4-2 courtesy of a Ben Knight brace plus further strikes from Tommy Doyle and Felix Nmecha.
This sets up an exciting climax to our Youth Cup title tilt at the Academy Stadium against high-flying Liverpool.
