Players and staff from Manchester City’s men’s and women’s teams helped spread some festive cheer to hundreds of brave youngsters as they visited four hospitals across Greater Manchester.

Earlier today, Pep Guardiola’s squad  arrived at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and the players and Pep handed out presents to patients across the hospital and also took the time to meet nurses and doctors on each ward as well.

The boss, along with Gabriel Jesus and Ederson, also joined families in the Teen Zone for a fun foosball tournament, bringing along our trophies from the Fourmidables campaign for families to take their photos with for good measure.

Ahead of the visit, the players further pledged their support by committing to the funding of a new piece of equipment at the RMCH.

The Magic Carpet, an interactive, portable projector, helps children with physical or cognitive impairments, and those who are non-verbal or with acquired brain injuries to engage in fun games and communicate with other patients and clinicians.

The technology also assists patients to undergo neuropsychological assessment that may otherwise be difficult to achieve due to their condition.

Earlier, City women’s squad and staff also spread some Christmas cheer, splitting into groups and headed to The Christie, Francis House and Wythenshawe Starlight Unit to deliver gifts and see first-hand the specialist healthcare services being provided to children across the North West and beyond.
