The story of how our Academy side won their first piece of silverware this season...

Manchester City Under-18s secured a first piece of silverware earlier this month, securing a 1-0 win away at Middlesbrough in the final of the Premier League Under-18s Cup.

It was the culmination of a campaign that began back in September with three group stage matches and which also took in a fine 3-0 win over Manchester United in the semi-final.

Felix Nmecha was the Blues’ match-winner in the Riverside Stadium showpiece, with his fine 46th minute strike deservedly earning Gareth Taylor’s charges the trophy.
