Sixteen cities, seven countries and four continents.
Presented by Etihad Airways, we have taken the six trophies our men’s and women’s teams won last season to cities in North America, South America, Asia and Africa, with a Club legend leading proceedings in each location.
We began in China and have since visited Japan, United States, Brazil, Nigeria, UAE, Egypt, before returning to China, with each destination enjoying a programme of exciting fan activations including football festivals and CityLive! match screening parties, whilst our legends have also taken part in Q&A sessions with 22 Supporter Clubs.
Shaun Wright-Phillips was our man in Atlanta and Sao Paulo, with Micah Richards joining the Lagos and Abu Dhabi legs of the tour and Paul Dickov headed to Beijing and Cairo.
We have also given fans the opportunity to nominate a second city for us to visit, making the tour more interactive than ever and allowing even more supporters to see the trophies up close.
It’s meant more than 10 thousand of you have snapped a photo with the silverware and that number will only increase as we embark on the second half of the tour.
We now head to Spain, where Club captain David Silva will join us in Gran Canaria and then it’s on to Indonesia, Australia, Thailand and India, before we return to the UK for the final leg in December.
