September marks the historic milestone of Manchester City’s first league game and league win in 1894, with the Club set to reflect on these significant moments and celebrate its heritage with fans at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

As part of the Club’s activities, Manchester City has created a video celebrating 125 years in 125 seconds, telling the story of the Club’s founding and its rich history.

The video tells the genesis story of the Club and how the parishioners of St Mark’s Church - inspired by the community work of the Connell family – set the foundations for the creation of Manchester City in 1894.

Included within the video are key moments celebrating and recognising Club milestones with the first trophy the Club won - the 1904 FA Cup - followed by the Club’s first league championship in 1937, and the subsequent successes the Club enjoyed thereafter, through the 1950s and 60s.

Manchester City’s current men’s and women’s teams, who have enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years, both feature within the video bringing the Manchester City story from 1894 through to the present day.
