Deadlock was broken on the 21st minute courtesy of a 20-yard rocket from Scott. The Lioness didn’t have time to think and, with no other options, she drilled the ball into the the top corner beautifully to send a chorus of cheers and delight around the Academy Stadium
City doubled their lead through Parris in the 56th minute. Georgia Stanway cushioned Mel Lawley’s pinpoint cross ready for Parris to volley home from close range.
The crowd had barely settled before City’s third goal was in the net as Scott, named Player of the Match, secured her second of the game and eighth of the season.
The 31-year-old’s height proved an advantage as her outstretched leg reached the ball enough to push it past Kirstie Levell and into the goal in, what seemed like, slow motion.
