Leroy Sane fired home a fierce strike to level the scores at 1-1 as half time approached against Liverpool.
The winger took a raking cross-field pass on his chest and motored inside, leaving two of the Reds’ defenders in his wake, before crashing the ball inside Loris Karius’ near post.
It was a fine effort from the young German, who netted for the seventh time in the Premier League this season to restore parity, before a glut of goals ensued in the second half.
Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan also scored for the Blues, but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were on target for a Liverpool victory.
