Leroy Sane wrapped up City’s convincing performance against Liverpool in style with a stunning effort from 25 yards.
The German impressed in his 33 minute appearance from the bench as City turned up the heat, picking up two goals for his efforts.
Sergio Aguero and a brace from Gabriel Jesus in both halves secured all three points after Sadio Mane was shown a straight red in the 38th minute for a high-footed challenge on Ederson.
The game was stopped for a lengthy period, resulting in Ederson needing to be substituted for Claudio Bravo. Thankfully the damage wasn’t as severe as first anticipated, with the Brazilian saying he is fine and well.
Sane made it 4-0 to the Blues after a neat exchange of passes with Mendy ended with the German winger sweeping the ball home from close range .
The best of City’s five goals however was saved until last - when Sane neatly wrapped a curling effort just outside the box into the top left corner in stoppage time, leaving Mignolet in a heap on the floor.
