Manchester City scored a goal on real beauty on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup win over West Brom.

With the game just 02:27 old, City went ahead when Leroy Sane finished powerfully past Ben Foster after the Albion ‘keeper had parried Ilkay Gundogan’s first-time effort.

It was an emphatic finish from the German – but it was the passing and movement beforehand that really impressed and offered the latest example of Pep Guardiola’s style of football having a transformative effect of the way City play.

The Blues strung together 52 passes of the ball before Foster’s save – West Brom’s only touch before Sane’s finish - with all 11 players involved.

It was an incredible start to the game, with the home side completely outplayed and a goal down before they had chance to settle.

And now we can show you the goal in all its glory via the special CityTV video above. So, sit back, relax and enjoy every facet of City’s brilliant opener at the Hawthorns.
