Manchester City delivered a hugely impressive 3-0 win over Hull on Boxing Day – and Yaya Toure was the star of the show.
He dictated City’s play, controlling the midfield battle and using his wonderful range of passing to hurt Hull time and again.
It was vintage Toure. He looks fitter since his return to the side and teams are struggling to cope with him.
He scored City’s opener - a superb penalty that gave David Marshall no chance and maintained his 100 percent record from the spot.
“It is always difficult to step up and take a penalty like that,” Toure said afterwards.
“Yesterday, I talked with my children and it was my boy’s birthday. It was amazing: he told me I was going to score.
“I am very delighted because it is what my boy said.
“I am always delighted to play and help my teammates to entertain the fans – that’s what I like and that’s what I want to do: to be part of the team and winning is always a massive achievement.”
Sit back, relax and enjoy every single touch of Yaya’s man-of-the-match display.
