Fernandinho was on the scoresheet in City’s 2014/15 trip to Goodison Park.
The Blues were forced to settle for a point in Merseyside, despite taking a late lead.
The champions had to wait until 16 minutes from time to edge in front through Fernandinho‘s header. The move began with an excellent tackle by Pablo Zabaleta on the edge of his own box and swift counter-attack that ended with David Silva tormenting the home defence before sending a shot goalwards and his deflected shot was forced over the line by the merest touch off Fernandinho’s head.
The advantage lasted just four minutes though as Everton pulled level from a set-piece.
