A brilliant goal from the tightest of angles, Sergio Aguero’s strike against Burnley in 2017 was a remarkable strike.
Tom Heaton was quick off his line to deny Raheem Sterling – but the ball ran into Aguero’s path.
And the Argentine, City’s greatest-ever goalscorer, hit it first time and, somehow, managed to squeeze the ball in between the near post and two Burnley defenders stood on the line.
How? We have no idea.
It proved to be the winner in a 2-1 win. Fernandinho’s first-half sending off left City with a difficult task but a rare Gale Clichy goal and Aguero’s mind-bending finish gave us a 2-0 lead.
Former Blue Ben Mee halved the deficit with 20 minutes remaining, but City held firm to seal the three points.
