Today’s goal of the day is Yaya Toure’s quality curling effort against Sunday’s opponents, Chelsea, back in 2013.

The Ivorian dribbled past two defenders in the box before wrapping a delightful effort into Petr Cech’s far corner just after the hour, putting us ahead after Joe Hart’s penalty save from Frank Lampard early in the second-half.

Carlos Tevez then powered home a second five minutes from time to secure a 2-0 win.

After the game, City boss Roberto Mancini said: “It was important that Joe saved that penalty but, in the end, I think that we deserved to win this game.”

“It was an important game, we beat Chelsea, they are one of the best teams, and now we will continue to work hard.”
