City prevailed 3-1 winners on the day courtesy of goals from Edin Dzeko, Aleksandar Kolarov and Adam Johnson.
Kolarov got City’s second goal of the game midway through the second half after latching onto the end of David Silva’s shot that had been padded away by Wolves’ keeper Wayne Hennessey.
The Serbian’s strike helped City maintain their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
