On the day Edin Dzeko had put City ahead before Daniel Sturridge and Steven Gerrard hit back for Liverpool.
With 78 minutes on the clock, Aguero came up with a goal that very few strikers would have been capable of.
The Argentinian raced onto a through ball right on the edge of the Liverpool box and got there just ahead of goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
There looked to be little danger for the visiting defence only for Aguero to hit a half-volley on the turn, from a near impossible angle, into the goal for City’s equaliser.
