It was Stuart Pearce’s first home game since being handed the interim manager’s role at City and the Blues were up against a Liverpool side looking to move fourth in the table.
Having missed a couple of good chances earlier. Kiki Musampa finally connected sweetly with a Lee Croft cross on 90 minutes to send the Etihad Stadium wild.
It was enough to secure a 1-0 win and help Pearce get the job on a permanent basis.
