Goal of the Day: Aguero v Everton

Sergio Aguero‘s crucial equaliser helped to put Man City within reach of a second Premier League title in 2014.

A thrilling 3-2 victory, with Edin Dzeko bagging a brace, put the Blues top of the table on goal difference. Just two games remained.

Everton had opened the scoring with a stunning Ross Barkley strike, before Aguero popped up with a moment of brilliance, collecting Yaya Toure‘s through-ball, driving forward and firing in at the near post.

Dzeko then headed the visitors in front and netted again after the break to put his side in control.

The hosts reduced the deficit with a Romelu Lukaku header but City hung on to put the league crown within touching distance.
