Emmanuel Adebayor guided Craig Bellamy’s corner past Pepe Reina as Manchester City drew 2-2 with Liverpool in 2009.

The striker was inexplicably left unmarked on the set-piece and with time and space to pick his spot, his powerful header bounced into the top right corner to level the scores after Marten Skrtel’s opener.

Mark Hughes’ City took the lead seven minutes later through Stephen Ireland, but were pegged back by Yossi Benayoun’s equaliser within 60 seconds and had to settle for a share of the points.

City travel to Anfield on Sunday looking for a first win there since 2003, when Nicolas Anelka’s brace sealed all three points.
