City travelled to Vicarage Road to play a Watford side who needed to win to keep their hopes of staying in the Premier League alive.
In a tense game, Watford keeper Ben Foster’s attempted pass fell to Darius Vassell who hit a sweet half-volley back past the stranded Foster to put City ahead.
The hosts hit back to level later in the game and missed a chance to take all three points - as a result, Watford were relegated back to the Championship.
