Man of the match Kevin De Bruyne spoke to CityTV’s Kelly ODonnell after our 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday – a result which ensure a safe passage to the Champions League last 16 with a game to spare.

The Belgian midfielder was the provider for David Silva’s crucial goal just before half time and impressed throughout with his decision making and quality on the ball.

De Bruyne, 25, admitted it wasn’t vintage City - but said he was pleased that the club’s progression to the last 16 with a game to spare meant there would be no nerves going into Matchday 6 of Group C.

“It’s very good we did it in five games so we don’t have to have more nerves for the last game,” he said. “It’s very good that we have another game where there’s not something at stake.”
