Pep Guardiola delves further into his ambitions as City boss in the second part of his City v Middlesbrough press conference.
Despite Tuesday’s victory over FC Barcelona, Guardiola insists City have a lot more work to do if they are to be considered as Europe’s best.
When asked if City are on the level of the European giants, he said: “Hopefully in the next year or so but not yet. We made a good victory but it’s still important to qualify. We have to go to Germany to do it.
“We beat one of the best teams in the world but the important thing was that we got the three points. I have to focus on how we played in the first half and that we can learn from that.”
