The City boss reveals the extent of Vincent Kompany‘s injury and insists Gladbach will be a tricky test.
City face the German club in their penultimate match in Group C of the Champions League on Wednesday night knowing a positive result will see them through to the Round of 16.
However, they will be without club captain Kompany after Guardiola confirmed the Belgian defender will be out for a number of weeks following his clash with Claudio Bravo in the victory over Crystal Palace.
Guardiola has also called for calm after the victory over Barcelona in the previous round of Champions League fixtures raised expectations.
“We were so happy with beating Barcelona,” he said. “But it was just one game. We cannot be considered favourites to win. Maybe in 10 years but we need time to achieve that.”
