Fabian Delph says that the Blues faithful helped inspire him to his goal in the 3-1 victory against Hull City.

Manchester City defeated Hull 3-1 as their bid for a top-four finish continued.

The Blues were convincing throughout and deserved the three points after a dominant performance.

City were on the attack from the off and came close in the early stages through Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and Yaya Toure.

The deadlock was broken in the 30th minute when Jesus Navas put the ball into the area and Ahmed Elmohamady diverted it past his own goalkeeper.

City doubled their lead shortly after half time when Aguero converted Raheem Sterling’s low cross to make it 2-0.

And the three points were wrapped up in the 63rd minute when Fabian Delph hammered home from the edge of the area to establish a three-goal advantage.

Hull pulled a goal back late on through Andrea Ranocchia but City still remained comfortable and saw the game out to claim the victory.
